The “Reflections & Results” Blog – An Introduction

The Cambridge dictionary definition of reflection is “serious and careful thought.” This blog will deal with reflections on topics relevant to my life and the decisions that have and will come out of those reflections. The results of those decisions will be explored.

The context of this exploration is my current situation in life and the changes that have occurred and will occur in my life. The framework for this endeavor is the resources I (like everyone else) have. I will avoid going into detail in this post – that is what the blog will be about. Here is an introduction to the resources:

Abilities: This domain involves all of my and others intellectual, physical, social, emotional, etc. proclivities and possibilities. Obviously there is an interplay between myself and others abilities.

Time: Each of us has a certain amount of time and how we use that time is a major factor in determining the course of our lives.

Space: Each of us has some physical space that we occupy. We have some degree of control over this space which we often share with others. As with all of these resources, this resource provides limits/constraints and opportunities.

Things: This domain is quite often referred to as “stuff” and this has a negative connotation. Things have to ability to improve our life and/or be a burden. These things also affect our world. These issues will be explored.

Money: And last but not least – I will explore the role of money as it relates to managing one’s life.

My hope is that doing this blog will help me to clarify and focus on important issues and to provide me with opportunities to interact with others to our mutual benefit.

Lots of this exploration is just basically getting better organized. However, I consider it much larger in scope than that so I am calling it my Life Management Project.
